Craft, with its unique rhythm, does more than adorn. It grants interiors an identity that resonates with everyone who enters.

An interior is a living narrative. The space, which has its roots, bears witness to craft, authenticity and the passion of the people who shape it. For me, interior design is the process of uncovering the truths embedded in materials, textures and details, emerging from the precise hands of masters.

Wood, stone, ceramic, textile

– raw, yet full of character — materials that have been telling stories for centuries. Contemporary interiors, rich in cutting edge technology, still need a foundation: respect for tradition and the art of making.

Designing craft-anchored interiors is not only about aesthetics, it is also about history. Every detail, every handmade form carries a fragment of the past that integrates seamlessly with the present.

Working with master artisans, I feel like a traveller rediscovering old paths — forging something new with respect for the old, the precious, and the unique. Crafted elements are not “objects” alone; they are stories with their own voice.

A space with its own genius loci

I have had the pleasure of collaborating with masters who translate my ideas into reality. For example, hand-carved hoopoes adorning a bench designed for a Polish client living in Tuscany, who watches flocks of birds from her windows each day.

Authenticity, borne of craft, is the foundation of every space I design. An interior distinguished by noble, handmade elements is not merely beautiful; it is alive — it pulsates.

Stone floors, ceramics, timber beams, wrought iron — all remain anchored in their identity. Not only in form, but in function, held in harmony with aesthetics. Every piece of wood, every stone texture has a task and a role in space.

Through craft, interiors cease to be merely decoration and become places with their own genius loci. They gain a depth no mass-produced object can offer. Pairings of stone with wood, ceramic with textile — unexpected at first glance — form a coherent, emotional whole when balanced with great care.

Matter breathes.

Wood that smells of history, stone that is cool beneath your fingertips, ceramics that speak of long hours in the studio; hands that turned them into more than “products” — these are experiences that stay with us.

I connect the contemporary with the traditional, with what is rooted in a place’s history. In an age of globalisation and mass production, it is craft that creates a truly singular identity of place.

The places I design are immersed in culture, tradition and emotion.

Observation and interpretation let me move between conventions with ease. I create space for those who experience the world differently.

Every interior becomes a space for interpretation, shaped by experience, emotional wealth, and the capacity to notice and value nuance.
